HONOLULU, HAWAII (October 4, 2017) – PacRim Marketing Group and PRTech are among a consortium of integrated marketing agencies specializing in travel and hospitality, known as Travel Consul, hosting its first summit on October 5-6, 2017 in Malaga, Spain. The summit will bring together the industry’s key providers and up to 400 tourism marketing professionals with a focus on the latest trends and developments in marketing techniques and tools specific to travel and tourism.

Hosted by Malaga, located in Spain’s most famous tourism region, Costa del Sol, the event is also supported by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) who declared 2017 as the UNWTO Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development. One of the summit’s panels will delve into “responsible tourism marketing practices” and feature responsible tourism experts from Australia, Peru, UNWTO and host destination Costa del Sol.

The line-up of speakers includes renowned experts from the U.S., Europe, Australia and Asia and many of the tech brands that are shaping the industry today such as: Adara, Amadeus, Expedia, Forwardkeys, Mabrian and Sojern. Other sessions will focus on the use of new tools and techniques of data analytics to understand today’s international travelers more deeply and avoid stereotypes through precise segmentation and targeting. There is also a panel highlighting specific techniques and best practice in marketing to luxury travelers and high-spending global shoppers.
