PacRim Marketing Group has promoted Ricky Chan to Sr. Graphic Designer. In this position, he will continue to lead the development of Asian language print and digital creative materials for clients to speak to targeted Asian International Travelers at all touchpoints of their decision-making and experiential journey. Chan supports clients spanning the hospitality, dining, and retail industries on deliverables ranging from sales collateral and customer wayfinding signs to digital banners and restaurant menus, all in the Asian languages.
Chan also designs for PacRim Marketing’s My Hawaii Media division, which publishes the “My Hawaii Pacific Journey” quarterly visitor magazine in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese languages – and most recently, helped redesign the firm’s corporate website, which is now mobile responsive in English and Japanese languages.
Chan joined PacRim Marketing in early 2012. Before joining, he specialized in graphic, web, and user interface design at a not-for-profit museum, and prior, worked with an information technology and marketing firm. Chan is a bilingual, bicultural Chinese market specialist, and received his BFA in Graphic Design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu, Hawaii.
“Ricky brings to PacRim Marketing a unique specialty in understanding the Asian languages and cultural nuances, in ways that can best be executed in graphic design. He most importantly is able to capture our clients’ brand essences, maintaining creative integrity, while ensuring the designs are appropriate and optimized for the targeted Asian audiences,” said Kim Fujinaka, Director of Integrated Marketing of PacRim Marketing Group.
