Honolulu-PacRim Marketing Group, Inc. has named Kim Fujinaka Director of Integrated Marketing. She was previously Marketing and Client Services Manager.
In her new position, Fujinaka will oversee PacRim Marketing Group’s Integrated Marketing Services business unit and client partner relationships to help increase their share of the Asian International Traveler market. She is also responsible for new business development in Hawaii and North America, overseeing staff development and growth opportunities, and for managing PacRim Marketing Group’s multicultural PR and marketing student internship program.
Fujinaka first joined PacRim Marketing Group as an intern herself in 2008, and became one of several former interns given the opportunity to continue on a full-time basis. She has become an integral part of the company, working on an impressive number and range of clients, spanning premiere brand name retail, airline, and hotel accounts across all marketing disciplines, including public relations and digital and print advertising. Fujinaka has taken the lead on marketing communications, promotions, and events, monitoring industry and international visitor trends, and has presented “best practices” for entry into Asian markets to clients on a national level.
“Kim’s understanding of client initiatives and cultural sensitivities enables her to create marketing campaigns that communicate a brand’s essence and resonate with travelers from Asia,” said Dave Erdman, President and CEO of PacRim Marketing Group, Inc. “Her leadership and ability to work with partners to meet their marketing goals and desired outcomes have earned enthusiastic client champions and are key to helping PacRim Marketing Group grow to the next level.”
Fujinaka is an active member of both the Honolulu Japanese Chamber of Commerce and the Honolulu Japanese Junior Chamber of Commerce, serving as a 2010 Cherry Blossom Festival Princess. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration, with an emphasis in Marketing, from Loyola Marymount University, where she studied marketing promotional strategies, consumer behavior, brand management, and marketing research. While at Loyola Marymount, she was Vice President of Community Service for Delta Sigma Pi Professional Business Fraternity.
