Jean has more than 20 years of experience in executive roles in public relations, advertising and consumer marketing.
Jean joined PacRim Marketing Group after several years with Marriott International, serving as Area Director of Communications for the 12 Starwood Hotels and Resorts in Hawaii. At PacRim she specializes in all aspects of consumer marketing, including strategic planning, media relations, business development, brand development, and strategic philanthropy. She has an extensive background in retail marketing and sales promotion, including writing, strategic planning, media relations and special promotions for key accounts. In addition, she is well-versed in crisis and issues management. Her experience includes 15 years with Hill & Knowlton International Public Relations (now HK Strategies), where she supervised travel marketing, lifestyle and consumer marketing for a variety of clients in the hospitality, franchising, and retail sectors.
Jean has worked on behalf of major companies, corporations and nonprofit organizations. She served as vice president of communications and marketing for the Alzheimer’s Association California Southland Chapter, where she was an integral member of the senior leadership team, responsible for strategic guidance and annual marketing/communications campaigns.
Jean has received many awards for her successful communications and marketing efforts from national and international organizations including Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI); International Association of Business Communicators (IABC); Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the Honolulu Advertising Federation (HAF).
Jean received a Bachelor of Arts degree (magna cum laude) from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, where she majored in communications with an emphasis in public relations, as well as in Spanish. She is an accomplished photographer and a member of the Screen Actors Guild.
